What is ethnobotany?
Ethnobotany is the study of traditional knowledge, customs, practices, techniques, tools, and lifestyles of people native to a given area, mainly concerning the plants they interact with and utilize in their medical, spiritual, practical, and ritual usage.
Ethnobotany is a principal reason why we dedicate ourselves to this land, this work, and the shifting and evolving landscape we find ourselves in. We aim to sustain and strengthen local people, to not just preserve their roots, but to fortify their autonomy so that they may blossom and flourish through the changes encroaching upon their worlds that often become threats and destructive influences.
